Wine production has a long history in the local communities. At 100 meters from Enxurros House, an old house of a wine producing family is put on exhibition today. Its collection of paintings, furniture and utensils typical of the 19th century, of Madeiran origin and some of English origin, show how this family lived.

The flavors of typical Madeiran cuisine can be enjoyed less than 10 minutes by car, in local restaurants. Among the most typical dishes, it has "espetada de carne assada", meat dish called "carne de vinha d'alhos", fried corn ("milho frito"), local bread dish "bolo do caco" or limpets in the frying pan ("lapas na frigideira"). Among the drinks, the "poncha" must not fail to taste on our island.

The Ponta Delgada beach complex, 400 meters from Enxurros House, offers a swimming pool for children and a swimming pool for adults with access ramp. The complex opens from 10 am to 7 pm in the period between June 1st and September 30th.
